- Republic of South Africa, the most Southern State of southern Africa, limited to the North by Namibia,Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland, the oriental and Southern coasts of which are bathed by the Indian Ocean, the Occidental rib giving on the Atlantic Ocean. Lesotho forms an enclave in the east of the country. The South African territory extends over 1 221 037 km2. Pretoria is the administrative capital and The Cap, the legislative capital. South Africa, economic power of the African continent, in the populating pluriethnique, entered, since 1990 , a new phase of its history, by breaking with the apartheid, the system of racial segregation which prevailed during all XX-th century.
