- Libya, officially popular and socialist Libyan Arabic Jamahiriya, country of North Africa, opened on the Mediterranean Sea. Libya, one of the biggest countries of the African continent (1 759 540 km2), shares its borders with six countries. Them some are a part of Arabic countries: Egypt in the East, Algeria on the West and Tunisia in the northwest. The others already belong in Black Africa: Sudan in the southeast, Chad and Niger in the South. The population are berber.
