- Republic of Maurice, island of the Indian Ocean belonging to the archipelago of Mascareignes, east of Madagascar and to the northeast of the island of Reunion, including the cleanly said Mauritius, surface of 1 865 km2, the island Rodrigues (104 km2) in the East, and the island Agalega to the North as well as the archipelago of Saint firebrand (or Cargados Carajos's stumbling blocks) in the northeast, which add up 71 km2. The total surface of the country reaches 2 040 km2.
