- Bolivia, officially republic of Bolivia, country of the centre of South America, lined in the North and in the East by Brazil, in the southeast by Paraguay, in the South by the Argentina and on the West by Chile and Peru. Bolivia is, with Paraguay, only South American country devoid of access to the sea. The surface is of 1 098 581 km2. The constitutional capital is Sucre, whereas the administrative capital and the seat of the government is La Paz.
