- Burma, officially Myanmar, country of Southeast Asia, limited to the North by the autonomous region of the Tibet (China), in the East by China, Laos and Thailand, in the South by the sea of Andaman and on the West by the Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh and India. Burma is a federal union consisted of seven populated States as a rule of non-Burmese (Arakan, Chin, Kachin, Karen, Kayah, Shan and Môn) and seven "! Divisions! " Lived by Burmese (Rangoon, Irrawaddy, Mandalay, Sagaing, Tenasserim, Magway and Pégou). The coastal region is known under the name of low Burma and the region of the inside under that of high Burma. The total surface of the country is of 676 579 km2, and its capital is Rangoon. It is the vastest of the countries of Indochina.
