- Oman, officially sultanate of Oman, country situated in the southeast of the Arabique peninsula, extending over about 1 760 km along the bay of Oman, in the East, and opening on the Arabian Sea in the South, bounded in the southwest by the Yemen, on the West by Saudi Arabia (desert of Rub al-Khali) and in the northwest by close Arabic Emirats.
