- Aserbaidschan, officially Azerbaijdanian Republic (in Turkish, Azärbayjan Respublikasi), Situated in oriental Transcaucasia (to see the Caucasus). Aserbaidschan is limited to the North by Russia, to the northwest by Georgia, on the West by Armenia, to the South by Iran and in the East by the Caspian Sea.
