- Denmark (in Danish, Danmark), officially realm of Denmark, country of the northwest of Europe, lined in the North by Skagerrak, a strait between the North Sea and Norway, in the East by Kattegat and resund, in the South by the Baltic Sea, the strait of Fehmarn and Germany, on the West by the North Sea. Denmark possesses two territories in the Atlantic Ocean the North: Faeroes and Greenland.
