The Commonwealth of Australia consists of 6 States - Nouvelle-Galles-du-Sud, Queensland, Australie-Méridionale, Tasmania, Victoria, and Australie-Occidentale - and two territories, the territory of the Australian capital and Territoire-du-Nord. The dependences of Australia are the territory Antarctique-Australien, the island Christmas, the islands Cokes, islands Heard and MacDonald, island Norfolk, the Territory of islands Ashmore and Cartier, and the Territory of the islands of the sea of Coral. The capital of Australia is Canberra.
