-Berbers, name given to the native peoples, living in North Africa of half of Egypt until islands the Canarian Islands in the Atlantic Ocean and of the Mediterranean Sea by going down in Africa towards Niger Mali and Maurinania. Now they speak about Arabic and French which they taught the school it does not mean that they are Arabic or French, they have their language and they are proud to have it but their states opted for Arabic against French language of the colonist - Let us leave politics to politics man politics... During centuries, the Berbers discovered America well before Christophe Colomb, Brazil and a Berber word (bir azil) in French (the puit of azil), letters ( The thifinagh) and wrote was found in the state of Texas in the United States of america. The Berber mixed in so many other ethnic groups, in particular the Moslems of different ethnic groups, Roman, French of Italian of the Portuguese, the Spanish of Turkish almost all the ethnic groups of the Southern Europe and the Mediterranean constitutes the Berber people - The adversaries in the regimes of Rome of or the name ( amazigh ) free man who did not submit himself to any force or foreign law that one identifies them now more with a language than with a people. Berber language, which still collects million people, is itself an enigma, so mixed today as the previous history are difficult to establish with certainty. Mouloud Mammeri tells that character of the Berber language are more ancient than those of ancient Egypt and than they have a resemblance has those of the civilization of South America. One of the most studied hypotheses connects the Berber with the Semito-Hamitic branch. Since the Moslem conquest, the Berbers became Moslem. They are less orthodox, however, and their religious rites contain numerous elements, of which some are animistic, resulting from old religions meadow Moslems and heathen. Most of the Berbers because of the decline of transport camel drivers, settle more and more, either in tents or compartments of clay, or in real houses in the biggest villages. The Berbers are traditionally breeders, notably of sheeps or cattle - it adorned that they are at the origin of the wheel well before Romans. By put they we quote Holy Augustine a Berber light of the west Holy Monique his mother and Saint ciprien. With the settlement, agriculture becomes more and more practised. The Berbers have a rich craft tradition: manufacture of flour, sculpture of the wood, size of grindstones, pottery, jewels and leather articles. History The Berbers are one of the most old communities of North Africa. During centuries, the Berbers lived in the coast of North Africa, between Egypt and the Atlantic Ocean. They stayed there until VII-th century apr. J.-C. When the Moslems conquered North Africa and grew again inward of the country of numerous Berber peoples, towards the mountains of the Atlas and Sahara. After the Moslem conquest, the Berbers adopted slowly the Moslem faith of their conquerors after 30 war years and they even carried Mahomet's message in Europe and stayed there. The centuries which followed were marked by almost continual fights for the dominion of North Africa, between the different Berber groups, between the Berbers and the different Moslems, and among all these peoples and the Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish invaders. During the same time, the coast barbaresque of North Africa, of which the name is in fact derived of the "Berber" word, was soon considered as being the main base of the Moslem and Berber pirates who attacked the Mediterranean navigators. France and Spain conquered Morocco and Algeria in the end of XIX-th century and at the beginning of the XX-th. After First World war, the Berber populations of North Africa began actively to demand their independence. From 1920, and until the surrender in 1926, Abd el-Krim beat repeatedly the Spanish troops of Morocco. Then the Berbers made an overhang in French Morocco in 1926, but were pushed away next year by the allied French and Spanish troops. During the wave of nationalism which lifted the native peoples in French North Africa after Second World war, the Berbers played an a little bit ambiguous role. In Morocco, the Berbers constituted the main wall of the French authority. In 1953, the Frenchmen, supported by this allied Watch, exiled the nationalist sultan of Morocco Mohammed. Afterward, antiFrench feeling eventually strengthened as well at the Arab's as at the Berbers of Morocco: on August 20, 1955, Berber forces come the mountains of the Algerian Atlas attacked two rural colonies of Morocco and killed 77 French nationals. The loss of the Berber support contributed that the Frenchmen put an end to the exile of Mohammed V in 1955 and grant finally its independence in Morocco in 1956. In Algeria, a violent resistance in the steady French dominion so well by the Berbers continued until the country obtains its independence in 1962.
