Organization of cooperation and economic development (OECD), international body consisted of 27 collaborating countries with the aim of coordinating their economic and social policies. The main objectives are the following ones: in the first place, to favor use, economic growth and rise of the level of life in member countries while protecting their stability!; secondly, to contribute to the economic expansion in member countries and not members, within the framework of a process of development!; thirdly, to favor the development of international trade on a multilateral, not discriminatory base, according to international imperatives. This shape of cooperation, which accompanied the increasing interdependence of state economies, lives the day in 1948, the year of the creation of the economic Organization of European cooperation ( OECE) to administer the Program of European reconstruction (plan the Marshall Islands) and to elaborate solutions appropriate to contribute to the recovery of the European savings in the years of the post-war years. THE OECD succeeded the OECE and lives officially the day on September 30, 1961 with the aim of spreading the radius of action of the cooperation between country. The nations which signed the Agreement of the OECD on December 14, 1960 were the following ones: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United States and Federal Republic of Germany. Japan, Finland, Australia and New Zealand became later members of the organization. Countries entered recently are Mexico ( 1994 ), Hungary and Czech Republic ( 1995 ). The procedure of admittance of Poland is current. The direction of the OECD is its advice, formed by representatives of all the nations members. It elects the Executive committee - consisted of 14 members - and create auxiliary committees intended to treat all the aspects of the governmental activity, with the exception of the defence, the religious questions and the sports.
